Join our team as a Bilingual IT Project Manager, bridging the gap between U.S. users and Japan-based developers. Based in New York or remotely (ET hours), you will manage multiple projects (7-8 systems), gather requirements, and ensure smooth collaboration. Strong communication skills in English and Japanese are essential, along with experience in system development, business analysis, or IT project management. The role involves user support, system improvements, and working with data-related systems. A salary range of $77,000-$94,000 is offered.
Requirements
- Experience in Project Management (Project Leader experience is also acceptable)
- Experience as a Business Analyst (including experience in requirements definition)
- Bilingual (Native-level English is expected; Business-level Japanese is acceptable)
- Experience in application development projects (understanding of web system architecture and full development lifecycle experience)
- Ability to read and write SQL
- Communication Skills Able to communicate smoothly with team members in English
- Capable of identifying key discussion points and adjusting the conversation's direction as needed
- Characteristics Fast Learner
- Clear thinker who can quickly determine the necessary course of action
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Responsibilities
- Gather requirements from U.S. users and translate them into specifications for developers in Japan
- Manage multiple projects (7-8 systems), including user support and development tasks
- Lead issue resolution, ensuring smooth collaboration between users and the development team
- Work closely with data-related systems, including ETL processes
- Handle some infrastructure-related troubleshooting (e.g., firewall and access issues)
- Support and guide development tasks while coordinating with Tokyo for clarifications
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Infrastructure (DNS, NAT, Firewall, Azure AD, Entra ID, etc)
- Experience in Finance Industry
