Summary
Join SMX as a Billing Administrator in Corporate Support, utilizing your accounting skills to manage billing operations. You will report to the Billing Supervisor and support the Corporate Accounting Invoicing team. Key responsibilities include tracking receivables, collaborating with various departments, ensuring compliance, supporting audits, assisting with contract closeouts, and handling customer invoice issues. The role requires strong accounting knowledge, experience with Deltek Costpoint, and familiarity with government invoicing. Requirements
- Possess a strong working knowledge of GAAP, FAR and compliance within highly regulated environments
- Have advanced experience in Deltek Costpoint; including Cognos and T&E
- Have experience working with DCAA and DCMA including audit support
- Demonstrate a strong attention to detail with a focus on analytics
- Possess strong oral and written communication skills
- Have 1-2 years of accounting experience in a government contracting environment
- Have required Costpoint Experience
- Be able to effectively meet deadlines and prioritize work assignments for efficiency
- Have knowledge of Invoicing
Responsibilities
- Track Accounts Receivable invoices and investigate nonpayment of Receivables
- Work collaborately with the various departments ex. (Finance, Contracts, Program Managers) to build relationships
- Maintain compliance with GAAP, FAR, and DCAA
- Support internal and external audits with DCAA/DCMA, and other outside audits as required
- Assist with contract closeouts
- Invoice Customers and Inter Company invoices
- Work with the customer on identified issues regarding the final invoice, including answering questions, making corrections, and managing funding issues
- Perform Collection efforts on Account Receivable items that are overdue
- Complete Rate Variance Invoices
- Perform Project setup review to ensure accurate billing
Preferred Qualifications
- Have Excel experience
- Possess a Bachelorβs Degree
- Have a BS in Accounting
- Have familiarity with Government Invoicing requirements
- Possess a Finance or other Business Administration degrees
