Summary

Join ConnectOS, a leading global consulting firm specializing in Governance, Risk, and Compliance. As an Accountant, you will perform data entry, bookkeeping, prepare financial reports, and assist with audits. Requirements include an accounting qualification, 3+ years of experience in the financial services sector, IFRS knowledge, and strong Excel and Word skills.

Requirements

  • Accounting qualification is a requirement
  • Minimum 3 years of experience preferably in the financial services sector
  • Must be familiar with IFRS accounting standards
  • Strong experience of working with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word

Responsibilities

  • Entrance of data into client accounting systems
  • Function as a bookkeeper for the clients of the firm
  • Create and maintain Fixed Assets Registers
  • Prepare vouchers, book petty cash expenses into client accounting systems reconcile all bank statements for clients
  • Responsible for accruals and provisions and monthly book closing for review by the team
  • Prepare client periodic trial balance, balance sheet, income statement for review by the team
  • Preparation and processing of financial reports and financial statements for clients in coordination with team
  • Assist the team to meet client external and internal auditor’s needs including ledgers, reports, and schedules
  • Partner with all project execution teams to develop and/or enhance processes to make sure that the clients’ needs are met as projects evolve in the most efficient and effective manner
  • Ensure standards and requirements are met through developing and conducting strict quality assurance tests
  • Liaise with project leads and their delivery teams (clients where necessary) to identify and define requirements, scope, and objectives

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of sales tax / VAT is a plus
