Summary

Join our company as a Bookkeeper and contribute to our fast-growing e-commerce business. This role requires at least 3 years of experience in retail accounting and proficiency in QuickBooks. You will manage accounts payable and receivable, process payments, create purchase orders, handle insurance renewals and audits, and prepare tax reports. Requirements

  • Have a minimum of 3 years of professional experience in retail accounting or a closely related field
  • Be remote work ready with stable high-speed internet with backup, computer (laptop or desktop) with recommended quad-core CPU 2.5hgz+, RAM 8GB+, and dual monitor, headset, mic, and webcam for meetings, and a focused workspace
  • Be fluent in conversational English written and verbal
  • Have experience with QuickBooks, Intuit, Shopify and/or other accounting software
  • Have experience with Google Docs/Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and modelling
  • Have a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting

Responsibilities

  • Manage AR/AP - Bookkeeping
  • Enter all new invoices into Quickbooks accounting software
  • Plan payments and process checks/ACHs
  • Regularly report AP outlook to the team
  • Handle loan compliance and reporting
  • Create POs for incoming inventory
  • Manage insurance renewals and audits for all company policies
  • Review coverage and maintain proper levels of insurance
  • Compile sales tax returns and submit them
  • Work with the Finance Director to complete state, local, and corporate tax payments
  • Timely file all city, state and federal permit/license renewals
  • Audit compliance policies to mitigate risk
  • Compile financial reports and present them to the Finance Director & CEO
  • Assist with knowledge base data management

Preferred Qualifications

  • Have at least 1 year of work-from-home experience
  • Possess basic knowledge in prompting AI software like Chat GPT, Claud AI, etc
  • Love accounting and implementing best practices that drive efficiency
  • Have a track record of implementing effective accounting processes and working with a team to achieve great results
  • Be enthusiastic about researching areas of improvement within accounting to increase workflow and support growth
  • Be excited about organizing information and creating effective ways to analyze and interpret data to inform business decisions
  • Be organized and process-driven and can build accounting workflows and procedures that are scalable
  • Have an innate ability to simplify and explain accounting/finance concepts and reports to partners as well as colleagues
  • Be comfortable interacting directly with vendors and partners
