Summary
Join Passthrough as a Bookkeeper and contribute to the company's financial clarity and operational efficiency. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will maintain accurate financial records, ensure compliance with regulations, and support internal and external audits. You will utilize accounting software, manage accounts receivable, and perform bank reconciliations. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in accounting principles. The position is part-time (10-15 hours per week), with a schedule aligning with US work hours, Monday to Friday. You will work cross-functionally with various stakeholders to optimize and streamline finance operations.
Requirements
- Minimum of three years of professional bookkeeping or accounting experience
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, or equivalent
- Proficiency in Excel / Google Sheets
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial data management
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ensure adherence to company policies and financial best practices
- Schedule: US work hours - Monday to Friday (10-15 hours per week)
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations, preparing and filing necessary reports
- Provide documentation and support for internal and external audits as needed
- Utilize financial software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) to streamline bookkeeping processes and generate financial reports
- Perform account receivable functions, including invoicing, deposits, collections, and revenue tracking
- Manage data entry and oversee bank reconciliation process
- Maintain strict confidentiality of company books and records

Preferred Qualifications
- A Bachelors in Accounting is a plus but not required
- Certification in bookkeeping or accounting (e.g., Certified Bookkeeper designation)
