Summary
Join Minted's world-class Brand Communications team as a temporary Brand Communications Manager! This role focuses on driving media relations and paid media initiatives to elevate Minted's brand presence. The ideal candidate is a strategic PR professional with 5-7+ years of experience, a proven track record of securing media placements, and strong media relationships. You will work cross-functionally with various teams to execute high-impact campaigns. This temporary position is anticipated to run from May 2025 to January 2026, preferably based in New York City. The role involves developing and implementing PR strategies, managing media requests, executing paid media strategies, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5-7 years experience in media relations, agency experience preferred
- A proven ability to achieve business objectives and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, complex environment
- Strong media relationships, an excellent pitching track-record and ability to generate consistent top-target results
- Depth of knowledge in lifestyle consumer brands with a strong affinity for design
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a persuasive and engaging storytelling approach
Responsibilities
- Own the conceptualization and execution of PR strategies that align with brand priorities across Minted’s diverse business segments—including Moms, Weddings, and Art—to drive awareness, engagement, and measurable results
- Develop and implement campaigns that meet KPIs while ensuring cohesive brand storytelling across all verticals
- Proactively and consistently secure impactful media placements across print, digital, broadcast and social channels
- Manage day-to-day inbound media requests in a timely manner, including sample requests, image inquiries, and fact checks
- Execute paid media strategies to enhance brand visibility, including overseeing video production, managing talent integrations, and ensuring content aligns with brand strategy and campaign objectives
- Execute talent and brand partnerships to drive meaningful awareness and engagement
- Brainstorm, manage and execute creative pitch angles that align with business objectives
- Analyze campaign performance and leverage insights to optimize strategy
- Build and maintain media lists, proactively identifying new contacts and opportunities
- Lead planning and execution for events, including press previews and partnership launches
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure communications efforts align with marketing and business goals

- Data-driven mindset, capable of using insights to inform recommendations and take action
- Passionate about art, design, weddings and celebrations, and creative pursuits; and have a finger on the pulse of emerging lifestyle trends
Benefits
Geo Base Full Salary Range - $70.00/hr - $90.00/hr
