Summary

Join Blavity, Inc., a leading Black media company, as a Brand Partnerships Manager on our Media Sales team. You will develop and cultivate new and existing leads, generating new business and pitching integrated marketing programs. This role requires a proven track record of sales success and digital marketing knowledge. You will manage the entire sales cycle, from prospecting to closing deals, and collaborate with various teams to ensure client success. The position is fully remote, with occasional travel, and requires alignment with the Pacific Time Zone. You will report directly to the Head of Brand Partnerships and contribute to Blavity's continued growth and success.

Requirements

  • Education: Undergraduate degree
  • Required Experience: 3+ years of media sales or experiential sales experience
  • A proven track record of success or experience in media organizations within marketing or operations functionalities
  • Experience in successfully developing a prospect list, while tracking extensive outreach
  • Technologies: Demonstrated experience with using PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Salesforce to convey ideas and compelling stories
  • You must think and act like a sales hunter. Aggressive sales activity is expected
  • Outstanding customer service skills required
  • Desire to be proficient in Blavity Media Group products and services across digital, social, content, and event categories
  • Answer emails, Slack, and other forms of internal communication in a timely manner during business hours

Responsibilities

  • Sell Blavity Media Products (Direct, Social, Custom Content, Experiential) across our portfolio of sites by presenting our solutions against the clientโ€™s digital campaign objectives
  • Manage the entire sales cycle, from finding a potential client to securing a deal
  • Conduct research to identify potential clients in the target market
  • Reach out to prospects through cold calls, emails and leveraging your prior connections
  • Respond to inbound inquiries and qualify leads by understanding the prospectโ€™s business needs, budget, and timeline
  • Follow up with prospects to maintain engagement and build relationships
  • Cultivate and lead the negotiation process by leveraging financial models to illustrate potential a revenue, and offering strategic alternatives that serve to maintain mutually beneficial terms
  • Schedule and execute virtual and face-to-face meetings with potential and existing clients in order to build meaningful client relationships
  • Meet or exceed quarterly revenue goals by closing net-new business, and growing existing accounts
  • Closely collaborate with Customer Success and Sales Operations on active campaigns to ensure healthy relationships and that billing needs are met
  • Maintain pipeline updates and accuracy of opportunity tracking from early stage to late stage in Salesforce and other platforms; managing and communicating to cross-discipline leads key needs staying on the pulse of all media new business generation
  • Collaborate with and coach sales planners in designing impactful sales strategies
  • Ideate with integrated marketing campaigns and work with media planners to set strategies for hitting client goals
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

  • Keen ability to identify and present big picture concepts, yet pay attention to detail
  • Flawless written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and balance the needs of multiple departments within the company
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite of products, CRM, and other internal systems
