Join OpenAI's Marketing team as a Brand Strategist and help shape the future of our brands. Leveraging your 10+ years of experience, you will define brand architecture, craft integrated campaigns, and develop data-driven strategies. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product, Sales, and Design, to ensure consistent brand messaging. Based in San Francisco or remotely, this role requires strong analytical and communication skills, a deep understanding of AI, and experience leading high-impact campaigns. You'll be responsible for translating complex data into actionable insights and creating compelling brand narratives. Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in brand strategy, marketing, or related roles, preferably within the tech sector
- Ability to collaborate deeply with product and design teams to develop integrated strategies
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable brand insights
- Exceptional communication and creative storytelling abilities, with a track record of working with creative and wide XFN teams to develop compelling brand narratives
Responsibilities
- Leverage quantitative and qualitative research to extract key insights and transform complex data into engaging, narrative-driven strategies that connect with our diverse audience
- Develop, refine, and maintain our brand architecture to ensure a consistent, differentiated positioning in the market. Create a cohesive framework that aligns our visual identity, messaging, and tone across every touchpoint
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including Marketing, Product, Sales, and Design—to craft and execute integrated campaigns
- Create high quality creative briefs, and refining creative solutions along the way (across audiences)
- Conduct comprehensive market research and competitive analysis to identify emerging trends and opportunities
- Use data analytics to continuously measure and optimize brand performance, ensuring strategies are both innovative and effective
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience building brand foundations from scratch - and being agile and thoughtful about how to adapt
- Experience leading strategy for scaled, high-impact campaigns targeting diverse audiences
- Deep understanding of AI and its potential roles for consumers and businesses
- Experience collaborating across creative, marketing, product, and leadership teams in fast-paced environments
