Business Analyst

Summary

Join Dynamo Technologies as a Business Analyst to support two key projects: FPISC (Permitting Council OED) and USDA FS WFS (Forest Service Web Foundation Services). You will contribute to strategic communications planning for FPISC, developing tools and materials like videos and a website. For USDA FS WFS, you'll provide expertise in requirements gathering and support the transition to a new content management system. This role requires strong communication, collaboration with stakeholders, and managing multiple timelines. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining documentation, performing testing, and ensuring successful project execution. The ideal candidate possesses strong business analysis and technical skills, experience with project management software, and the ability to work independently.

Requirements

• Business analysis/functional experience
• Experience with writing thorough user stories and bug tickets
• Experience with Project Management/Issue Tracking software (JIRA, Azure DevOps, GitHub Projects, etc)
• Experience with front-end testing of websites and applications
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to create client-ready documentation/deliverables
• Experience working in an Agile environment
• Independent worker who can quickly learn new processes in fast-paced environment
• U.S Citizenship required
• 2+ years experience
• Bachelor of Science in business analysis, business administration, IT, or any related field
• Ability to obtain a Public Trust

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Agency stakeholders for routine requirements gathering, product demonstration, and feedback collection of the developed solution
• Develop and maintain requirements documentation in GitHub Projects and other document repositories (user stories, bug tickets, process diagrams, RTMs, etc.)
• Perform thorough testing of the website/application including but not limited to; regression testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), functional testing, and smoke testing to ensure the solution meets functionality, usability, compatibility, 508 compliance, performance, and security requirements and standards
• Develop and maintain functional documentation including but not limited to; test scripts, training and knowledge transfer documentation
• Provide on-going functional documentation and reports for operations and maintenance of Agency web system platforms, configuration, and architecture
• Support routine reporting of development schedule, accomplishments, deliverables, risks and issues
• Efficiently manages time on tasks as well as special projects
• Must have strong communication skills and be able to work independently to identify and resolve issues
• Identifies, analyzes, and evaluates business needs to solve business problems
• Assumes responsibility for functional tasks and ensure they are completed in a timely fashion
