Business Development Consultant

Summary

The job is for a local consultant in Bangladesh to support and grow partnerships with local and international organizations for Simprints, a UK-based non-profit providing biometric solutions. The role involves coordinating business development activities, establishing relationships, attending meetings, and identifying opportunities for Simprints deployment.

Requirements

• Have 5+ years of experience working with Government to set up digital infrastructure or digital solutions
• Educated to at least undergraduate level
• Proven experience in navigating bureaucracy and delivering programs
• Working knowledge of digital health and/or international development and humanitarian work in Bangladesh
• Solid grasp of the role of biometrics in support of unique ID management, verification of service delivery and real-time monitoring and evaluation
• Able to work both as an effective team player and an individual contributor, in both online and offline environments
• Able to hit-the-ground running to represent Simprints’ proposed solution in a concise and convincing manner
• Fluent in spoken and written English

Responsibilities

• Coordinate Simprints’ business development activities in Bangladesh, including liaison with MHFW representatives and Simprints team members
• Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders at the Ministry of Health and other organizations where needed
• Attend meetings that can assist with identifying future funding/project opportunities in Bangladesh, e.g. observing the Country Coordinating Mechanism meetings for The Global Fund in Bangladesh

Preferred Qualifications

Having a technical background will be highly desirable
