Requirements
- Possess a relevant degree in a life science subject such as Immunology, Biology, Pathology, Genomics etc
- Minimum of 4 years of experience selling Early Development & Discovery Services within a CRO or related life sciences service organization
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets in the biopharmaceutical industry
- Strong understanding of preclinical drug development, discovery biology, pharmacology, toxicology, and related services
- Established network of contacts within biotech and pharmaceutical companies
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-driven environment
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve revenue targets for Early Development & Discovery Services
- Identify and cultivate relationships with key decision-makers at biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies
- Drive new business opportunities through networking, cold outreach, conferences, and referrals
- Act as a consultative partner, understanding client needs and positioning our CROβs services effectively
- Collaborate with internal scientific, operational, and marketing teams to develop compelling service proposals
- Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements to ensure mutually beneficial terms
- Maintain a deep understanding of industry trends, competitor activity, and market dynamics
- Manage and track sales opportunities through CRM systems, ensuring accurate forecasting and reporting
- Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project initiation and client satisfaction
Preferred Qualifications
- An advanced degree is preferred
- Previous experience selling histopathology services is highly desired
