Summary

Join Clearsulting as a Business Development Director for Order to Cash and lead the expansion of our O2C practice. Develop and execute a commercial strategy focused on sales growth, geographical reach, and alliance partnerships. Collaborate with account owners to identify and convert leads. Create and maintain reusable assets for business development. Lead pursuit efforts, including scoping, strategy, estimations, negotiations, and closing deals. Position Clearsulting as an O2C leader and nurture alliance relationships. Contribute to the development of Clearsulting's O2C commercial organization. Manage conference and event participation, generating leads and analyzing ROI. This hybrid or remote role offers up to 40% travel and is based in Cleveland, OH, Chicago, IL, Columbus, OH, or Dallas, TX, with other remote locations considered.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent), preferably in the areas of Finance, Accounting, Economics, Computer Science, Business, Management Information Systems, or a related field
  • 10+ years of experience working in the Order to Cash technology space
  • 5+ years of experience in sales or business development

Responsibilities

  • Lead the expansion of our Order to Cash (O2C) practice by developing and executing an inclusive commercial strategy focused on broadening sales, revenue growth, geographical reach and strengthening alliance partnership
  • Work with Clearsulting account owners to drive the process of identifying leads on their accounts and converting leads into client-facing discussions
  • Maintain and develop reusable assets to drive efficiency in the business development process, including proposals, RFP responses, pricing models and overall sales collateral
  • Lead end-to end pursuit efforts on identified opportunities including scoping, pursuit strategy, creating estimates, negotiations, and closing at existing and prospective clients
  • Position Clearsulting as the leader in the O2C space by communicating our value proposition in the external marketplace
  • Grow Clearsulting’s brand within the Order to Cash sales ecosystem by owning and nurturing the O2C alliance relationships with a focus on building pipeline with alliance sales teams
  • Help lead the development of Clearsulting’s O2C commercial organization, including structure, capabilities, talent and training
  • Responsible for conference and event management, including: identifying relevant industry conferences/events to participate in or sponsor, managing conference logistics, nurturing leads and facilitating meaningful interactions post conference/event to advance sales opportunities and analyzing ROI of conference/event participation

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong written and oral communication skills, including in the MS Office suite of tools
  • Proven track record gaining access and influencing decision-makers at the highest levels in an organization
  • History of maintaining long-term client relationships and networks and cultivating business development opportunities
  • Demonstrated ability to grow and maintain a book of business
  • Experience managing and mentoring team members
