Summary

Join N-Power Medicine as the Director of Business Development to spearhead strategic growth within the Pharma/Biotech portfolio. Requirements

  • 8+ years of progressive experience in the life sciences sector, with a strong track record in business development and a deep understanding of the pharmaceutical and biotech drug development lifecycle; prior experience in Clinical Trial Operations, Drug Development R&D, and Oncology is highly preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in a business, life sciences, or related discipline; an advanced degree is a plus
  • Proven ability to lead high-level presentations and facilitate strategic discussions with scientific and executive stakeholders, effectively translating complex needs into tailored solutions
  • Demonstrated success in consultative selling within complex, solution-oriented environments, with the ability to navigate nuanced client needs and long sales cycles
  • Experience conducting customer mapping, stakeholder identification, and competitive landscape analysis to inform go-to-market strategies and account planning
  • Track record of cultivating and sustaining long-term, trust-based client relationships that drive repeat business and strategic partnership growth
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with a confident presence in both internal and external engagements
  • Adept at leading and collaborating across cross-functional teams, fostering alignment and consensus to drive results

Responsibilities

  • Drive the development and execution of high-impact lead acquisition strategies across the pharmaceutical and biotech sectors
  • Craft and implement tailored strategies to advance and close partnership opportunities, including the creation of comprehensive customer account plans informed by in-depth analysis of pipelines, business priorities, and key decision-makers
  • Lead the articulation and delivery of compelling collaboration proposals, establishing both near- and long-term strategies to deepen partner engagement and expand account value
  • Direct cross-functional teams—spanning Business Development, Medical, Operations, Data Science, Engineering, and Legal—in the creation of customized proposals and draft statements of work that align with client needs and organizational goals
  • Partner with Legal, Compliance, Procurement, and business stakeholders to support complex contract negotiations and ensure alignment with organizational standards and risk frameworks
  • Ensure seamless transition of closed opportunities from Business Development to Operations, ensuring alignment and continuity throughout project initiation
  • Provide regular reporting and insights on pipeline performance, revenue opportunities, and the overall health of the pharmaceutical portfolio
  • Collaborate on talent strategies including hiring, onboarding, and retention initiatives to strengthen organizational capability and team engagement
  • Provide strategic direction, mentorship, and performance coaching to cultivate a collaborative, high-performing team culture
  • Represent the organization at industry conferences and events, actively building and maintaining a robust network of external partners and stakeholders

Benefits

  • The expected salary range for this position is $195,000 and $242,000
  • Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law
  • N-Power Medicine (NPM) offers equity at hire as well as a discretionary annual bonus which may be available based on Company performance
