Requirements
- 8 years of hands-on experience in new business development sales
- At least 2 years of outbound sales managerial experience
- Experience with managing high-velocity and volume sales strategy
- Professional sales background within the B2B SaaS industry
- Solid experience in system transactional sales, sales methodology, and techniques, sales and negotiation practices
- Experience motivating, coaching, and developing teams
- Experienced in managing at least 4 employees across field sales teams
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Self-motivated, with high energy and an engaging level of enthusiasm
- Driven to deliver the best customer experience
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of field sales professionals
- Manage business development metrics and drive functional outcomes
- Hire key talent and own a rapid onboarding process for new team members
- Foster collaboration within the team and across the customer lifecycle
- Encourage continuous learning & development within the team
- Mentor and coach your team to meet personal and business goals
- Drive the performance appraisal process along with defining operational metrics for the team
- Align with marketing, product, customer success, finance, and executive teams around objectives
- Cultivate new business and develop partnerships
- Support closure of strategic deals and nurturing partnerships to ensure both immediate and long-term success
- Lead by example in setting team vision, interacting with customers, managing deals, participating in company leadership forums, and attending industry events that demonstrate our values
- Keeping up to date on markets, segments, customers, emerging markets, market shifts, new products, competition status, external forces and feeding insights into planning
- Representing the company at industry events
- Lead by example by actively participating in the sales process to contribute revenue to the team goal
- Deliver product presentations and demonstrations to potential clients
- Participate in negotiations, contract discussions, and other complex sales activities
