Summary

Join Leonardo.Ai, a rapidly growing Australian tech startup now part of Canva, as a Business Development Manager for our SMB vertical in the US market. You will focus on marketing, advertising, gaming, and other creative sectors. This role requires identifying, qualifying, and closing new business opportunities. You will build and manage a sales pipeline, develop strong client relationships, and deliver tailored solutions. Requirements

  • Direct sales or business development experience in software, cloud or SaaS markets
  • Comfortable with generating and managing large volumes of leads from cold outreaches through email, Linkedin and personal network
  • Strong understanding of B2B SaaS technology
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a global team
  • Located on the East Coast, Austin or Texas State

Responsibilities

  • Drive new business growth for our Teams and API product by prospecting, identifying, and qualifying potential clients
  • Build and manage a robust sales pipeline, helping close out business opportunities for the SMB vertical
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships, understanding their business challenges and positioning our AI-powered solutions effectively to address their needs
  • Conduct product demos, presentations, and discovery sessions to showcase the value and capabilities of our SaaS platform
  • Collaborate with the Head of Business Development to develop and execute sales strategies and tailor approaches for different market segments
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product, and technical solutions consultants, to ensure smooth onboarding and customer satisfaction
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies to effectively position our product within the market
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, client interactions, and forecasted opportunities within the CRM
  • Participate in regular sales meetings and contribute insights and feedback to help refine sales processes and strategies

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to adapt quickly to new tasks and work in an unstructured environment
  • No ego and willingness to do whatever it takes for the team to win
  • Willingness to travel within the US and North America
  • Experience in AI or solutions targeting a creative industry (Gaming, Marketing, Advertising, etc.)
