Summary
Join Waltonen Engineering Inc. as a dynamic business development professional leading and mentoring teams in capture and proposal management for major U.S. Department of the Navy initiatives. You will collaborate with Navy stakeholders, navigate opportunities within Navy system commands (NAVAIR, NAVSEA, NAVSUP, MARCOR), and oversee the entire business development lifecycle. This entrepreneurial role requires strong leadership, communication, and influencing skills within a fast-paced, small business environment. The ideal candidate possesses extensive experience with Navy initiatives and a strong understanding of Navy system commands. A degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field is preferred, but equivalent experience is considered. US citizenship and security clearance are required.
Requirements
- Possess a Degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Have a proven track record in leading and mentoring teams in capture and proposal management
- Possess extensive experience with U.S. Department of the Navy initiatives
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of Navy system commands (NAVAIR, NAVSEA, NAVSUP, MARCOR)
- Possess excellent collaboration and influencing skills
- Be an entrepreneurial self-starter with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, small business setting
- Possess strong leadership skills with the ability to lead peers and senior colleagues
- Have exceptional communication and presentation skills
- Be able to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
- Possess knowledge of relevant regulations and standards
- Be a United States citizen
- Possess or be able to obtain a security clearance
Responsibilities
- Report to Director of Government Services
- Develop and implement business development strategies to achieve company goals within Navy system commands (NAVAIR, NAVSEA, NAVSUP, MARCOR)
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the Navyβs system commands
- Oversee the entire business development, capture, and proposal development lifecycle
- Collaborate with and influence diverse cross-functional Navy stakeholders
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key Navy stakeholders and decision-makers
- Prepare and present proposals, presentations, and other business development materials
- Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to identify potential opportunities
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards
Preferred Qualifications
Have experience with Microsoft Office Suite
