Requirements
- 2-5 years of experience directly managing a BDR team
- 2+ years of experience working directly in a CRM to support business development
- Proven experience in a business development or sales role
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and manage the BDR team to ensure high performance and achievement of sales targets
- Provide ongoing coaching and feedback to improve sales techniques and product knowledge
- Roll up your sleeves and dig into the BDR operations: highlight ways to enhance operational efficiencies and work with the Marketing team to execute on operational improvements
- Monitor and analyze team performance metrics, including lead generation, conversion rates, and revenue contribution
- Conduct regular team meetings, performance reviews, and one-on-one coaching sessions
- Foster a positive and motivating team environment that encourages growth and collaboration
- Develop and implement comprehensive business development strategies to drive pipeline growth
- Identify target markets, customer segments, and potential business opportunities
- Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to align on campaigns, messaging, and lead generation strategies
- Design and deliver training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of the BDR team
- Keep the team updated on industry trends, competitive landscape, and best practices
- Prepare and present regular performance reports to senior management
- Implement data-driven approaches to identify areas for improvement and optimize processes
- Work closely with the Sales, Marketing, and Product teams to ensure alignment and effective communication
- Act as a liaison between the BDR team and other departments to ensure smooth operations and resolve any issues
- Participate in cross-functional meetings and contribute to the overall business strategy
- Oversee the execution of outbound and inbound lead generation activities
- Ensure the team effectively qualifies leads and schedules meetings for the Sales team
- Develop and refine outreach scripts, email templates, sequences and call strategies and own the documentation of team pitches and team operational processes
Preferred Qualifications
- SaaS and/or B2B experience
- Healthcare or pharmaceutical industry experience
- HubSpot experience
- Prior Account Based Sales experience
