Business Intelligence Developer

Summary

Join City Electrical Factors (CEF), a global electrical wholesaler, as a Senior BI Developer and contribute to their growing Business Intelligence & Analytics team. This hands-on role involves designing and delivering advanced Power BI solutions, working directly with stakeholders to understand their needs, mentoring junior colleagues, and shaping how data is used across the business. You will be responsible for delivering insightful, high-quality Power BI dashboards, reports, and data models, acting as a senior point of contact within the BI team, and contributing to the evolution of BI practices.

Requirements

• Advanced Power BI skills – strong DAX, data modelling, and visualisation experience
• Proven experience delivering end-to-end BI solutions in a commercial setting
• Comfortable working with raw data—able to clean, transform, and tell a story with it
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills—confident presenting insights and working with senior non-technical audiences
• Experience mentoring or supporting junior BI/Data team members
• A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset

Responsibilities

• Designing and delivering advanced Power BI dashboards, reports, and data models
• Working directly with stakeholders, including our GM and functional leads (Finance, In-house Ops etc.), to understand their needs and translate them into actionable insights
• Acting as a senior point of contact within the BI team—mentoring junior colleagues, reviewing technical work, and supporting capability uplift
• Contributing to the evolution of our BI practices and shaping how we use data across the business
• Playing a key role in team delivery, bringing structure, clarity, and best practice to how we manage and present data
