Summary
Join Halcyon's growing sales team as a Business Development Representative (BDR), Federal, and drive new business opportunities in the Federal segment. You will build relationships with prospective clients, generate leads in cybersecurity and ransomware protection, and collaborate with sales and marketing teams. This role requires strong communication skills, knowledge of the cybersecurity landscape, and experience with CRM and sales systems. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong organizational skills and a proven track record of meeting sales targets. Requirements
- 1–3 years of experience in a sales development or business development role, preferably in cybersecurity or technology
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with CRM and sales systems (e.g., Salesforce, Salesloft, Nooks, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo, GovNav, GovWin, Gong)
- Self-starter who thrives working independently and in a team environment
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and KPIs
Responsibilities
- Lead Generation: Prospect, identify, and qualify potential customers through inbound and outbound prospecting—calls, emails, and LinkedIn outreach
- Client Engagement: Connect with decision-makers in target Civilian and Federal agencies to understand their cybersecurity needs, challenges, and pain points, particularly related to ransomware threats
- Sales Support: Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to support and execute lead generation strategies, campaigns, and outreach
- Pipeline Management: Maintain a healthy pipeline of prospects and manage lead data within our CRM system
- Educate & Qualify: Share relevant information on Halcyon’s ransomware protection solutions and qualify leads for potential fit
- Nurturing: Follow up with leads to ensure consistent engagement until they are ready for deeper discussions with an Account Executive
- Market Intelligence: Stay current on industry trends, competitive landscape, and ransomware threats to effectively communicate value
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of the cybersecurity landscape, especially ransomware threats, is a plus
