Summary
Join Deputy, a global SaaS remote-first workforce management company, as a Solution Architect. This critical role acts as the linchpin between Billing & Finance, People, and Design, Engineering & Product, owning all applications within these domains, including Zuora, Salesforce, Netsuite, and others. You will partner with Finance and People teams to ensure applications are fit-for-purpose and scalable. Responsibilities include project delivery, requirements gathering, designing end-to-end solutions, and driving project delivery with a team of engineers and vendors. The ideal candidate possesses 5+ years of experience as a Solution Architect with a focus on SaaS technologies and billing, particularly with Zuora and Salesforce. This role requires strong architectural and hands-on skills, experience with architectural frameworks, and the ability to influence stakeholders.
Requirements
- 5 years working as a Solution Architect (or business systems engineer or equivalent) with particular focus on SaaS technologies and a billing focus - with particular experience with Zuora and Salesforce
- Be Hands on - writing architecture / solution designs, collaborating with others and getting into the systems to make changes
- Designing end-to-end solutions that meet business needs, considering factors such as scalability, performance, security, and integration capabilities
- Practical experience working with architectural frameworks and methodologies, such as TOGAF, Zachman or similar, allowing you to develop roadmaps/plans that align technology with business objectives
- Ability to influence others and drive decisions in a highly dynamic and customer-focused environment. Must have the ability to listen, understand and persuade
- Technical acumen and a strategic understanding of the essential systems used to support a SaaS organisation, which must include Salesforce and Zuora
- Advanced SQL knowledge
Responsibilities
- Architectural Leader for challenging and complex projects that impact on the domain
- Partner with various stakeholders, subject matter experts across the organisation
- Be the broad knowledge expert in the domain
- Lead and deliver projects, both from an architectural and hands-on perspective
- Present solutions to both technical and non-technical team members at all levels of the company
Preferred Qualifications
- CPQ experience (nice to have)
- Certifications in Salesforce are a plus
- Java development experience would be a benefit
- TOGAF certification would be an advantage
