The work environment is fast-paced, and the schedule is Monday-Friday, 5 PM - 2 AM CET / 8 AM - 5 PM PST. Benefits include a competitive salary plus commission, paid time off, and English courses.
Requirements
- Previous experience in carrier sales, freight brokerage, or logistics coordination
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to build rapport and influence others
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in transportation management systems (TMS) and other relevant software
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of transportation regulations and industry best practices
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions
Responsibilities
- Source and negotiate with carriers to secure capacity for shipments
- Build and maintain relationships with a network of carriers to ensure reliable service
- Coordinate the movement of freight by matching available carriers with customer shipments
- Utilize load boards, transportation management systems (TMS), and other tools to find appropriate carriers for each load
- Negotiate rates and terms with carriers to ensure competitive pricing while maintaining profitability
- Evaluate market conditions and carrier performance to optimize pricing strategies
- Communicate with customers to understand their transportation needs and provide updates on load status
- Address any concerns or issues related to transportation
- Manage carrier relationships by monitoring performance, resolving disputes, and providing feedback for improvement
- Ensure carriers comply with contractual agreements and meet service level expectations
- Generate and manage transportation documentation, including rate confirmations, bills of lading, and other required paperwork
- Ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements
- Proactively identify and resolve transportation-related issues, such as delivery delays, equipment shortages, or route changes
- Implement contingency plans to minimize disruptions to shipments
- Analyze transportation data to identify trends, opportunities for improvement, and cost-saving measures
- Use insights to optimize routing, carrier selection, and operational efficiency
- Interaction with customers, carriers, and internal stakeholders via phone, email, and in-person meetings
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field
