Summary

Join Zelh, a rapidly growing outsourcing company, as a Carrier Sales Representative! In this role, you will source and manage carrier relationships, negotiate rates, and ensure efficient freight movement across the U.S. and Canada. You will build strong carrier relationships, book freight, manage rates and margins, and communicate effectively with carriers and internal teams. The ideal candidate possesses 0-2 years of experience in a similar role, strong communication skills, and knowledge of the North American transportation market. Requirements

  • 0-2 years' proven experience working in a Carrier Sales, Freight Brokerage, or 3PL Logistics or a logistics similar role
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, high-volume logistics environment
  • Knowledge of the U.S. and Canadian transportation markets, lanes, and pricing structures
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate with carriers, internal teams, and customers over the phone and via email
  • Highly organized with attention to detail and a problem-solving mindset
  • Fluency in English (both written and spoken)
  • Strong understanding of transportation regulations and logistics procedures
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and logistics software
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with carriers to secure reliable capacity at competitive rates
  • Match available loads with appropriate carriers, ensuring timely and cost-effective transportation
  • Negotiate pricing within a high-volume, low-margin business model to maximize efficiency and profitability
  • Collect and document all available capacity from assigned carriers
  • Strategically target specific carrier prospects based off size, region, and equipment
  • Match entered capacity to every available load within TMS
  • Assign the best carrier to each available load
  • Clearly communicate load expectations and details to ensure a successful transaction
  • Serve as the primary contact for assigned carriers
  • Build and maintain relationships with truckload carriers
  • Provide all necessary pickup information and paperwork to carriers to ensure on time pickup
  • Connect drivers electronically to company’s tracking app
  • Identify loads level issues and work cross-functionally to determine the best solution
  • Assist in gathering PODs and other accessorial paperwork from carrier

Preferred Qualifications

Proficiency in logistics software and load boards (e.g., DAT, Truckstop, McLeod, etc.)
