Summary

The job is for a CFO at Pepper, a fast-growing DTC bra brand. The CFO will report to the CEO and be responsible for financial strategy, data & financial analysis, financial operations, treasury & risk management, fundraising & investor relations, leadership, and team management. The ideal candidate should have an MBA, MFin, or related master's degree, 7-10+ years of finance leadership experience, experience in Direct to Consumer companies in the retail space, and a passion for Pepper’s mission.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a financial strategy that paves the way for the company to meet short-term and long-term goals of growth and profitability
  • Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual budgeting process, forecasting, and financial modeling
  • Provide insight and recommendations for unique growth opportunities, cost efficiencies, inventory management, and pricing strategies
  • Support with major vendor negotiations and contract reviews
  • Lead and manage our Data Analytics department and the prioritization of BI reports across the organization
  • Report on the company’s core KPIs and unit economics
  • Collaborate cross functionally to help set company and departmental goals
  • Oversee all financial operations, including Accounting, Payroll, Tax Accounting, and Sales Tax Compliance
  • Establish and maintain robust financial controls, policies, and procedures to safeguard assets and ensure compliance with regulations
  • Manage cash flow, liquidity, and investment strategies to optimize returns while mitigating risks
  • Own relationship with Banks, Credit Card Partners, and insurance providers
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations, laws, and standards, including tax filings and reporting requirements
  • Partner with CEO to lead fundraising efforts, including debt and equity financing, to support the company's capital needs and growth goals
  • Build and maintain relationships with investors, lenders, and financial institutions to secure financing and negotiate favorable terms
  • Prepare financial presentations and pitch decks for investors / stakeholders
  • Build and lead a high-performing team, providing mentorship and guidance
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement
  • Promote cross-functional collaboration with other departments to drive efficiency and achieve organizational objectives
