Summary
The job is for a CFO at Pepper, a fast-growing DTC bra brand. The CFO will report to the CEO and be responsible for financial strategy, data & financial analysis, financial operations, treasury & risk management, fundraising & investor relations, leadership, and team management. The ideal candidate should have an MBA, MFin, or related master's degree, 7-10+ years of finance leadership experience, experience in Direct to Consumer companies in the retail space, and a passion for Pepperβs mission.
Responsibilities
- Develop a financial strategy that paves the way for the company to meet short-term and long-term goals of growth and profitability
- Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual budgeting process, forecasting, and financial modeling
- Provide insight and recommendations for unique growth opportunities, cost efficiencies, inventory management, and pricing strategies
- Support with major vendor negotiations and contract reviews
- Lead and manage our Data Analytics department and the prioritization of BI reports across the organization
- Report on the companyβs core KPIs and unit economics
- Collaborate cross functionally to help set company and departmental goals
- Oversee all financial operations, including Accounting, Payroll, Tax Accounting, and Sales Tax Compliance
- Establish and maintain robust financial controls, policies, and procedures to safeguard assets and ensure compliance with regulations
- Manage cash flow, liquidity, and investment strategies to optimize returns while mitigating risks
- Own relationship with Banks, Credit Card Partners, and insurance providers
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, laws, and standards, including tax filings and reporting requirements
- Partner with CEO to lead fundraising efforts, including debt and equity financing, to support the company's capital needs and growth goals
- Build and maintain relationships with investors, lenders, and financial institutions to secure financing and negotiate favorable terms
- Prepare financial presentations and pitch decks for investors / stakeholders
- Build and lead a high-performing team, providing mentorship and guidance
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement
- Promote cross-functional collaboration with other departments to drive efficiency and achieve organizational objectives
