Summary
Join Pepperstone as a Client Onboarding Officer and contribute to a seamless account opening process for diverse clients. You will ensure compliance with regulations, review applications, verify documents, and communicate effectively with clients. This role involves identifying process improvements, collaborating with other departments, and providing customer support. Requirements
- Candidate should have experience working in a similar role, ideally in a bilingual environment
- Ideally a background in finance, business, economics, commerce or similar
- Familiarity with compliance and regulatory standards
- Experience in client onboarding and customer service
- Fluency in both English and Portuguese or any additional language
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain quality under pressure
- Ability to use good judgement, act and make decisions with integrity
- Strong customer focus and passion for providing excellent customer service
- Highly motivated and a positive people person
- Ability to complete tasks end to end and good time management
- Desire and passion for continuous learning, improvement, and innovation
Responsibilities
- Offering an excellent customer experience by providing a seamless account opening process
- Ensuring all client applications are processed with agreed consistent standards according to specific regulations
- Reviewing and approving client applications, including individual, partner, corporate, trust, and joint account applications
- Verifying documents and completing extended ID checks for some countries and identifying areas of potential risks (such as AML/Fraudulent IDs)
- Communicating effectively with clients to hasten and complete the verification process and open new accounts
- Identifying areas for improvements and opportunities to streamline processes
- Maintaining a working knowledge of global compliance standards
- Collaborating with other departments (Sales and Customer Service) to provide accurate information on new accounts
- Assisting with customer support functions such as replying to support emails, live chat, and other support tasks
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Commerce or similar (desirable)
- Basic understanding of Forex and interest in the financial markets (desirable)
