Summary
Join Jamf as a Manager, Cloud Engineering, and provide leadership for Operations and Engineering in Cloud & Delivery. Ensure teams meet deliverables and work on the right priorities, collaborating with stakeholders to achieve business objectives. Keep teams informed about priorities, foster subject matter expertise, and provide mentorship. This role involves global collaboration and travel between Poland and the Netherlands. The position is remote in Minneapolis, MN; Eau Claire, WI; or Austin, TX, with occasional office work required. Jamf offers a flexible and supportive work environment.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years professional experience in Enterprise Software development or Enterprise Technology roles demonstrating progressive knowledge and growth in responsibilities
- Minimum of 2 years previous management experience
- Expert in Microsoft Azure & Kubernetes: Extensive experience deploying, managing, and scaling containerized applications using Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS); skilled in automating infrastructure, optimizing cloud resource utilization, and ensuring high availability and security across cloud-native environments
- 4 year / Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
- A combination of relevant experience and education may be considered
Responsibilities
- Maintains current knowledge in present areas of responsibility (i.e., self education, attends ongoing educational programs)
- Provides the vision and oversight of software development efforts for teams and utilizes expertise on techniques, tools, languages, and practices to guide and mentor
- Deliver quality services and ensures teams are using KPI’s and complying with SLA’s
- Serve as a point of escalation for customers and Cloud & Delivery teams
- Ensures teams are compliant with SOC2 and ISO27001 initiatives, and provides support as needed
- Works with global C&D leadership to develop schedules and ensures global coverage for on call rotations and weekend staffing
- Leads, facilitates, and mentors teams in solving the problems of building cloud-based platforms
- Prioritizes, monitors, and manages results through planning, attention to detail, and decision making
- Identifies and proactively manages and mitigates project obstacles and risks
- Reviews and revises project work plans as needed to meet changing needs and requirements
- Reviews and analyzes existing workflows and practices for effectiveness and efficiency
- Provides technical leadership of Jamf development projects
- Ensures the overall code quality of services in the Cloud & Delivery code base
- Mentors development and administration on recommended technical solutions for features, coding techniques, and tools
- Ensures consistent and effective application of Lean principles and Agile development practices
- Performs key people management responsibilities including hiring, on boarding, developing, and supervising team along with conducting performance appraisals and coaching for performance and career growth
- Actively collaborates with the engineering leadership team to solve problems and improve the function of the engineering organization
- Engages within or across teams to drive standalone initiative(s) within department aligned to company or line of business objectives
- Proactively seeks input from other departments what is working well and what can be improved
Preferred Qualifications
- General Experience with Mac OS X and iOS platforms
- Minimum of 3 years working in an Agile environment
- Atlassian Tools (Jira, confluence, bamboo, etc.)
- Agile practitioner experienced in Scrum or Kanban
- Preferred Certifications/Licensures: Amazon Web Services (AWS) certifications such as Solutions Architect, Developer, and/or SysOps Administrator are helpful
- 2 or more years of Jamf product knowledge
