Requirements

  • 6+ years of professional combined work experience in DevOps, SRE, System Administration, or similar roles and 2+ years in a managerial role
  • Must have Docker, Kubernetes, and ArgoCD experience
  • Must have demonstrable programming abilities in scripting languages like Bash and Python
  • Knowledge of networking fundamentals is a must. You should be comfortable using common network troubleshooting tools like dig and nslookup, netstat, netcat etc

Responsibilities

  • Focus and lead an operations team of cloud-native systems using AWS, EKS, and OKD
  • Build, maintain, and upgrade Kubernetes clusters using EKS/OpenShift/OKD
  • Work with stakeholders to address challenges with AWS and Kubernetes
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of observability systems
  • Participate in small to large platform engineering initiatives related to product delivery tasks
  • Study the system and proactively provide architectural improvements and automated solutions for daily operations, deployment, and monitoring
  • Document operational procedures and share knowledge with stakeholder teams
  • Mentor members of the team on best practices, architecture, and development
  • Provide guidance in cloud-based best practices
  • Participate in a team’s on-call schedule, which means that occasionally, you may be asked to provide after-hours technical expertise, guidance, and support

Preferred Qualifications

  • Java EE/Jakarta experience writing/troubleshooting Java applications using Maven, Tomcat, TomEE, and related technologies
  • OpenShift/OKD experience
  • Istio/Gloo Mesh experience
  • Knowledge of Linux system internals and common tools
