Commercial Legal Counsel in Europe

Summary

The job is for a Commercial Legal Counsel at Sporty's sites, responsible for supporting inbound vendor deals across different regions. The role requires strategic thinking, strong interpersonal skills, and experience in drafting and negotiating commercial transactions, with a preference for corporate governance and technology contracting experience. Requirements

• Qualified to practice law in the UK, US or a European jurisdiction
• Working proficiency in English with additional languages such as Spanish or Portuguese is a plus
• 4+ years of post-qualification experience as a lawyer (with an emphasis on drafting and negotiating commercial transactions) at a prominent law firm, a relevant in-house corporate setting, or both
• In-house legal experience is an advantage
• Corporate governance and technology contracting experience, including consumer protection and privacy compliance. Experience in Betting and Gaming Law, Responsible Gambling, and AML is a plus
• Demonstrated ability to handle difficult situations, prioritise and execute multiple projects, and solve problems creatively in a fast-paced work setting
• Collaborative team player with a good sense of humour

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, negotiate and close commercial agreements, including audiovisual rights, broadcast licences, production, and data protection agreements
• Draft, review, negotiate and close inbound vendor agreements, including software licences and strategic partnerships
• Maintenance of legal agreements and corporate documentation of several companies in various jurisdictions
• Help develop and maintain effective contract processes, our contract management system, precedent agreements, and all relevant end-user documents
