Communications Associate

Summary

Join Airbnb's Communications team as a Communications Coordinator supporting the U.S. Policy Communications Team. You will craft and execute communications campaigns, work with journalists, and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Responsibilities include developing written materials, managing media inquiries, and identifying opportunities to partner with the public policy team. This remote-eligible position requires a Bachelor's degree, 3+ years of relevant experience, excellent communication and writing skills, and strong organizational abilities. Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree
• 3+ years of relevant experience in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, including supporting a team in a communications and administrative capacity
• Ability to exercise strong judgment and maintain confidentiality
• Strong process-oriented skills and passion for learning, improving, and sharing best practices
• Excellent communication and writing skills
• Acute attention to detail and follow through, and strong organizational skills
• Knowledge and expertise in building and executing organic campaigns and strategies that drive favorable press and social buzz

Responsibilities

• Support Regional Communications Managers in proactive policy communications strategy and reactive responses to news and local impacts to the business
• Produce and maintain the proactive U.S. policy communications narrative
• Develop internal and external written materials: story pitches, op-eds, messaging guidelines, Q&As, briefs, presentations, talking points, etc
• Serve as connective tissue between regional U.S. comms leads
• Provide organizational support to the U.S. policy communications team
• Identify opportunities to partner with Airbnb’s public policy team regarding new community policies that protect the business and strengthen the company’s reputation
