Summary

Join Airbnb's Communications team as a key operating partner to the Director of Strategy, Operations, and Measurement! This role focuses on building frameworks, processes, and assets to support the team's global expansion. You will optimize the global budget, develop prioritization approaches, and streamline workflows to ensure projects are on time and resources are allocated effectively. Partnering with various cross-functional teams, you will drive the annual planning process and enhance the overall strategic rigor and efficiency of Airbnb's communications. The ideal candidate possesses 10+ years of experience in global communications/marketing operations, strategy & operations, or management consulting, along with a proven ability to build systems and processes in a dynamic environment. This US-remote eligible position offers a competitive salary and benefits package.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in global communications/marketing operations, strategy & operations, and/or management consulting (or the equivalent)
  • Experience working with a global organization across disciplines (Finance, Strategy, Consumer and Product, Creative, Production, etc.) and with a range of non-US local teams
  • Analytical, structured thinker with strong business acumen. Experience partnering with Finance (FP&A, Strategic Finance) and Analytics/Data Science
  • Experience establishing systems and developing processes in a dynamically scaling environment. Ability to take a vague problem, crisply frame the challenge, identify a path forward, and drive an initiative over the finish-line
  • Passion for cross-functional collaboration
  • Ability to own the work in a hands-on way and be in the details
  • Ability to effectively communicate and influence decisions at all levels

Responsibilities

  • Serve as key operating partner for the Director Strategy, Operations and Measurement on business operations for the global Communications team, e.g., budget planning, mapping key moments for workshops and market visits, leading ongoing rhythm of business
  • Design, build, and/or optimize critical frameworks, processes, and assets for our global efforts
  • Optimizing the design, management, and reporting of our increasingly global and multifaceted budget to enable clear regional or market-specific views
  • Developing the prioritization approach and ROI framework for global communications initiatives
  • Developing the workload and process flow to ensure projects and initiatives are on time, scaled, and resources appropriately
  • Drive annual planning process as a key element of central planning and budgeting
