Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in technical marketing, content marketing, or social media within the data, IT, or infrastructure ecosystem
- Proven track record as an excellent short-form copywriter, creating results-driven content for social channels, emails, websites, and events
- Strong understanding of data engineering concepts, market trends, and customer needs
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute creative strategies that drive measurable results
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across teams
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Computer Science, or related field
- Experience with social media management tools and analytics platforms
- Proven success in growing and engaging online communities
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, adapting quickly to new challenges
- Results-oriented mindset with a focus on driving revenue growth and achieving business objectives
Responsibilities
- Craft engaging, witty short-form content for social media, newsletter, emails, web pages, talk abstracts, and ads
- Develop and implement content across various platforms, maintaining a consistent brand voice
- Manage Dagster's presence on LinkedIn, Twitter, Reddit, Slack, and YouTube, including content scheduling and community engagement
- Drive employee advocacy and help leadership team build thought leadership in the data engineering space
- Engage with the data engineering community and collaborate with industry influencers
- Analyze social media and community metrics, providing insights to refine strategies
- Work closely with marketing, product, and engineering teams to align community efforts with overall business goals
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with open-source software communities is a plus
