Summary
The Compensation Analyst will work with the Director of Compensation & Benefits to manage compensation programs, policies, and practices for Alliance Defending Freedom. This includes maintaining position descriptions, benchmarking positions against survey data, conducting ongoing evaluation and market pricing, facilitating compensation processes, preparing reports, and keeping abreast of laws and regulations related to compensation.
Requirements
- B.A./B.S. in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or related field or equivalent work experience
- 3+ years of work in Compensation
Responsibilities
- Provide administration support for day-to-day compensation operations as a subject matter expert
- Maintain position descriptions for each position; ensure descriptions and classifications accurately and consistently reflect the work being performed by incumbents
- Benchmark positions against survey data and other market intelligence to determine competitive compensation ranges for each position and provide thoughtful and holistic compensation recommendations
- Conduct ongoing evaluation and market pricing of positions to ensure internal equity and external competitiveness
- Facilitate the compensation processes such as the annual merit, pay equity analysis, as well as off-cycle promotion and market increases
- Prepare reports and perform analysis of internal people data to ensure alignment of compensation approach with the overall HR strategy
- Conduct executive compensation market research and analysis in compliance with the Rebuttable Presumption of Reasonableness procedures
- Maintain ongoing data integrity within HRIS. Audit compensation, retirement plans, and benefits data
- Assist in the design and implementation of pay structures and compensation models
- Research and analyze the competitiveness of the total compensation package, including benefits and paid time off; based on findings, recommend changes or updates
- Participate in salary surveys as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) preferred, not required
- Knowledge of Compensation principles, programs, and practices, and Online salary survey library management tools preferred (e.g., CompAnalyst)
- Experienced in independently conducting research, collecting, analyzing, reporting, and presenting data
- Advanced Excel skills
- Effective communication both verbally and in writing with people at all levels of the organization
- Strict confidentiality; exercising tact and diplomacy when dealing with sensitive, complex, and confidential information
