Summary
Join Braze as a Compensation Analyst and contribute to the foundation of their total compensation programs and strategies. You will manage daily compensation processes, lead company-wide cyclical initiatives, and ensure alignment with market best practices. This role requires exceptional quantitative and project management skills, strong communication, and effective cross-functional collaboration. You will be responsible for managing the effectiveness and competitiveness of existing reward programs, advising key internal stakeholders on compensation decisions, identifying operational efficiencies, ensuring compensation programs align with market best practices, identifying enhancements to compensation planning tools, ensuring compliance with regulations across all geographies, preparing and presenting compensation studies, overseeing communication and education of compensation programs, and more.
Requirements
- 6+ years of progressive compensation and/or total rewards experience
- Advanced proficiency in Excel / Google Sheets (i.e. pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, complex conditional formulas, basic macros) with an ability and desire to conduct analysis on large data sets and draw conclusions/make recommendations
- Demonstrated project management skills and the ability to drive programs independently
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization, including senior leadership
- A firm commitment to confidentiality and ability to operate with a high level of integrity and discretion
- Proven ability to collaborate and work in a cross-functional team environment
- Ability to identify gaps and implement changes
- Ability to remain organized and work on multiple simultaneous projects
Responsibilities
- Manage effectiveness and competitiveness of existing reward programs, including the global annual compensation cycle
- Advise key internal stakeholders, including business leaders, Finance, HR business partners, talent acquisition, on ad hoc or complex compensation decisions
- Proactively identify operational efficiencies and create clear, scalable solutions for all ad hoc and recurring requests/processes
- Ensure compensation, bonus, and equity programs and policies are aligned to market best practices and industry trends
- Identify enhancements to compensation planning tool and all related operational processes
- Ensure that pay practices are compliant with regulations across all geographies where Braze operates (i.e. FLSA classification, statutory/mandatory pay increases, etc.)
- Prepare and present compensation studies to the business, enabling leaders to make informed decisions for their teams
- Oversee communication and education of compensation programs aligned with our compensation philosophy
Preferred Qualifications
Proven ability to seamlessly adapt to new systems; Workday experience strongly preferred
