Summary
Join BigID, a leading data security and privacy tech startup, as their Competitive Intelligence Manager. You will be responsible for gathering and analyzing competitive intelligence to inform marketing, sales, and product development strategies. This role requires a data-driven approach and excellent communication skills to present complex information clearly. You will deliver training sessions, prepare reports, and collaborate cross-functionally. The ideal candidate has 4+ years of experience in a relevant field and a strong understanding of B2B software in data security. Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in product marketing, corporate strategy, or competitive intelligence
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill and present information clearly and in a compelling manner
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated experience working with B2B software in data security, privacy, governance or data management
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights
Responsibilities
- Gather information on a range of competitor sets, integrating disparate findings and data into content that uses compelling competitive positioning and strategic guidance for stakeholders
- Monitor competitor activities, including announcements, partnerships, campaigns, & positioning
- Identify competitor strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (SWOT analysis)
- Create and distill competitive intelligence into consumable materials - combining internal intel with additional analysis
- Deliver compelling, interactive training sessions on your competitors to sales teams that have a wide range of experience, from GTM to technical audiences, from early career trainees to senior leaders
- Enablement & training activities to position and highlight product differentiation to enable the customer-facing teams (Sales, SE, CSM, Professional Services)
- Prepare regular reports and dashboards summarizing competitive intelligence findings and key takeaways, including win/loss analysis
- Communicate key findings and collaborate cross-functionally to infuse competitive content across enablement strategy and delivery
- Implement a robust feedback loop with the field to gather competitive intelligence from the front lines and incorporate it back into the overall competitive strategy and materials
- Develop strategies to mitigate competitive threats
