As a Regulatory Compliance Specialist, you will provide support to internal partners on regulatory compliance requirements and issues related to consumer credit services.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Three years' experience in a regulatory risk and compliance/audit processes
- Knowledge of federal and state privacy laws and regulations, including FCRA, FACTA and GLBA - preferably from a consumer reporting agency (CRA) perspective
- Understand complex business issues, develop practical, strategies
- Manage through change, guide and under tight deadlines
- Comfortable working both independently and in team settings
Responsibilities
- Provide support to internal partners on regulatory compliance requirements and issues related to consumer credit services
- Perform gap assessments of BU/functional area procedural documents against Global Policies to ensure adherence and if applicable, work with business line on action plans designed to address control breakdowns and track timely remediation of regulatory issues and process improvements
- Work with a variety of teams to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and policies. These include Legal, Information Security, and Governmental Affairs
- Maintain understanding of business line operating strategies, products, and services
- Participate in exams as the SME by working with the appropriate BU in the collecting and analyzing exam data, documents, and other information as may be requested to provide requested documentation
- Work with the Regulatory Exam Manager in the delivery of ad hoc regulatory requests within specified Service level agreements
- Participate where needed in the preparation and presentation of materials for regulatory meetings (kick-off deck, quarterly update)
- Work in a team environment, addresses conflict, and build productive relationships with customers, partners, and partners to achieve targeted our results
