This client-facing position involves daily interactions with hundreds of investment bankers, managing deal flow and workflow. You will evaluate deals, develop banker profiles, analyze capital markets data, contribute to product development, and engage in sales activities. Collaboration with internal teams, particularly the Insights team, is crucial for delivering value to clients. The ideal candidate possesses strong client relationship management skills, capital markets experience, and excellent communication abilities.

Requirements

  • Experience in Capital Markets: Investment Banking, Private Equity or Venture Capital
  • Bachelor degree in Engineering / Economics / Finance
  • Excellent communication skills that help build positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Must be able to work swiftly with a high sense of urgency and be comfortable with frequent shifting priorities and deadlines
  • Must be a self-starter, quick learner, and highly organized with an incredible attention to detail
  • You have a minimum of 4+ years of relevant work experience

Responsibilities

  • Help Build a New Virtual Global Investment Bank: This is a client-facing role with multiple client interactions on a daily basis to help with the deal flow needs of our existing and prospective clients. You will be a key person responsible for working with hundreds of Finalis investment bankers with their deal flow and workflow on a day-to-day basis. Developing strong professional relationships with the bankers will be critical
  • Help develop Finalis Connect. You will evaluate capital raising and M&A deals, assessing their quality and alignment with the investment bankers on the platform. This includes developing detailed banker profiles to enhance the matching process. Additionally, you will analyze the investment criteria of capital allocators to pair them with suitable deals on the platform. Success in this role relies on effectively facilitating connections for investment bankers at both the Deal Origination and Deal Closing stages while managing limited and confidential data with precision
  • Analyze Capital Markets at Finalis. You are expected to gain a deep understanding of the private capital market activities conducted by platform users. The ability to gather, update, and analyze data on both ongoing and new deals is essential for delivering data-driven insights to both internal teams and customers
  • Product Development: You’ll be a key part of the analysis and development of the Finalis Marketplace. In your role, you’ll work closely with the PO in order to develop a world-class Marketplace. It’s fundamental to have a proactive approach in order to create new processes and help us solve our current challenges
  • Sales Approach: You will have to sell Finalis to potential clients. Understanding the capital requirements of issuers and identifying the challenges bankers face in fulfilling these needs is crucial. This understanding will not only be pivotal in advocating for Finalis in every conversation but also in uncovering chances to enhance our product
  • Competitive Landscaping: You will need to fully understand the current vendors in the market for US bankers (vendors could be based worldwide), their offering & pricing model
  • Collaboration with the Insights Team (high quality output at scale): You are expected to collaborate with the Finalis’ Insights team in order to deliver value to our clients in a timely manner and in accordance with their expectations. This business line is expected to deliver software-like margins at scale (70%+). You are expected to understand the full scope of services that the Insights team could potentially offer to boutique investment banks based in the US (financial modeling, marketing materials & newsletter support, assisting with research support, etc.) and develop a brand new business within Finalis by defining a proper strategy to sell these services to both our current customers & potential external clients
  • You will work directly with Finalis’ Connect team within the Delivery department and align your strategy with the overall Connect team but you are expected to engage in active relationships with other Finalis’ employees. You have to be proactive and effectively marshall internal and external resources with a minimum of supervision and applying correct and adequate criteria to different complications that may arise

Preferred Qualifications

Masters in Finance or MBA
