Join Global Healthcare Exchange (GHX) as a client-focused SaaS Consultant to support healthcare supply chain engagements, concentrating on electronic order processing, exception management, and optimizing customer use of GHX solutions. You will lead implementation projects, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and work directly with GHX-connected customers to enhance cost savings, productivity, and accuracy in business transactions. This role involves analyzing and configuring customer account and item master data, supporting EDI and integration efforts, documenting best practices, and identifying process improvement opportunities. The ideal candidate possesses a proactive, organized approach and a passion for delivering measurable value through digital supply chain transformation. You will manage client relationships and implementation projects, ensuring alignment with client goals and providing regular status updates. The position requires a Bachelor’s Degree in business or equivalent experience and at least 5 years of experience with medical device Manufacturer/Distributor business processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in business, or combination of education and equivalent work experience
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience with medical device Manufacturer/Distributor business processes
- 3+ years of experience in SaaS consulting or ERP implementation, ideally within the medical device or life sciences manufacturing space
- Strong working knowledge of EDI workflows and formats relevant to healthcare
- Experience with platforms like NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or other manufacturing-focused SaaS/ERP tools
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and document complex operational processes and translate them into system requirements
- Analyze complex datasets, detect anomalies or inefficiencies, and develop data-driven solutions that align with business goals
- Experience in business operations (e.g. order-to-cash, procure-to-pay and master data management)
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities independently in a fast-paced, client-facing environment
- Strong organization and time management skills with a proactive, self-directed work style
- Ability to work autonomously while maintaining clear communication and alignment with cross-functional teams
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to dive into data using Excel or similar tools, identify trends and patterns, and translate findings into actionable recommendations
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 20% annually
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary liaison between clients and internal development teams
- Lead discovery sessions to capture and translate business requirements into actionable SaaS configurations
- Lead the collection, cleansing, and configurations of customer master data, item master, and pricing data, ensuring accurate mapping to support order processing and compliance processes
- Support and advice on EDI integrations, transaction sets (e.g., 850, 855, 856, 810, and 832), and compliance with industry-specific standards
- Provide operational consulting on best practices in supply chain, master data management, and customer communications
- Creates risk mitigation strategies for client challenges to increase automation adoption
- Deliver training and post-implementation support as needed
- Design and deliver polished, visually compelling PowerPoint presentations that translate complex data and implementation details into clear, engaging narratives tailored for executive, operational, and technical stakeholders
- Manage client relationships and implementation projects, overseeing project planning, milestone tracking and cross-functional coordination while ensuring alignment with client goals
- Provide regular status updated, proactively resolve issues, and support clients through post-go-live stabilization to ensure long-term success and satisfaction
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on working knowledge of GHX solutions
- Knowledge of healthcare contracting processes
- Familiarity with bill-only and bill-and-replace processes commonly used in healthcare and medical manufacturing, including their impact on inventory management, purchasing, and revenue cycle operations
- Knowledge of contract prices alignment throughout the procure-to-pay cycle, including PO creation, invoice validation, and exception handling
- Understanding of integration layers and middleware (e.g., APIs, HL7, or platforms like MuleSoft, Boomi, or Cloverleaf), and how they support data exchange between SaaS solutions and external systems such as ERPs, EHRs, or supply chain platforms
