Content Enrichment Specialist - Mandarin

Summary

Join our team as a Content Enrichment Specialist and review Mandarin Chinese video content for a major client. You will leverage your passion for pop culture and social media trends to identify patterns and provide insights into the digital landscape. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create comprehensive content decks. Review video content to identify trends, apply cultural awareness to your work, and identify target audiences for marketing campaigns. This is a short-term, remote contract position (4-6 weeks, 10-30 hours/week) available in Australia or the United States. Occasional holiday work may be required.

Requirements

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Mandarin Chinese, and ability to read traditional Chinese characters
• Bachelor’s degree or experience in relevant job or industry
• Experience with content moderation, content review, curation, or similar roles
• Strong understanding of digital streaming products, particularly video and its ecosystem
• The ability to review information with an analytical and objective mindset in a fast paced environment
• A keen interest in/knowledge of pop culture, social media trends and creators, and trending video content
• Strong familiarity with memes, hit songs and content trends in pop culture including music, dance, gaming, beauty, fashion, film, TV, pets, comedy, and/or sports
• Familiar with popular social media platforms including YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Snapchat, Facebook, Twitter, Twitch, Clubhouse, etc

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in our content enrichment and editorial divisions to create comprehensive decks for our client
• Review video content to identify patterns or trends in video content
• Apply a keen awareness of the cultural and political climate to all work
• Identify cultural and demographic target audiences for marketing campaigns
• Additional responsibilities as assigned
• Must be available to work occasional holidays

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working remotely and within multicultural teams
• Experience with copywriting and proofreading, preferably with a focus on entertainment content
• Comfortable working with Google Suite, with spreadsheets and other data management tools
• Flexibility to adapt to changes in guidelines, workflows, and tools
• Knowledge of Taiwanese culture and traditions
• Familiarity with the current local social media landscape such as key influencers and trends
