Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in content strategy or content marketing, with a focus on consumer health content
  • Metadata and Technology Savvy: Experience and comfort with utilizing content management, creation emerging tools and technologies and familiarity with applications of metadata to content libraries
  • Must be available to work in the Eastern Time Zone and available for quarterly travel
  • Strategic Thinking: Proven ability to develop and execute content strategies that drive engagement and meet business objectives
  • Research Skills: Strong research skills to analyze data and harness insights on market trends, customer behavior, and competitive positioning
  • Content Creation: Proficiency in creating diverse content types and adapting messaging for different audiences and channels
  • Collaboration: Excellent teamwork skills with experience working across departments to align content with product and marketing goals
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze content performance data and make data-driven decisions to improve strategies

Responsibilities

  • Develop Content Strategies: Create and implement content strategies tailored to new product or strategic campaign launches. Align content plans with product goals, target audience insights, and overall marketing strategies
  • Audience Research: Apply company research to understand customer needs, experience design and product requirements. Utilize these insights to inform content development and positioning
  • Content Taxonomy Management: Oversees content library Taxonomy, best practices, AI enablement, optimization and requirements to support automated curation for personalized and communal product experiences
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, marketing teams, content editors and designers, and other stakeholders to ensure cohesive and compelling content that supports product launches and promotional activities
  • Content Planning and Execution: Develop content calendars to support strategic plans across product, partner or Institute priorities. Ensure timely delivery and alignment with product or program launch schedules
  • New Vendor Management: Serve as the external and internal point person for New Content Vendor assessment, piloting, and contracting. Demonstrate ability to source new partners, evaluate offerings relative to our content approach and library, and drive engagement from initial outreach to final contract execution and content ingestion
  • Innovation and Trends: Stay abreast of industry trends, content marketing best practices, and emerging technologies. Apply new ideas and techniques to enhance content effectiveness

Preferred Qualifications

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in content strategy or digital marketing are a plus
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with content management systems (CMS), taxonomies, SEO principles, and digital marketing tools. Experience with analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics) is a plus
  • Metadata Experience: Familiarity with medical codes is a plus (ICD-10, etc.)
  • Portfolio: A portfolio demonstrating successful content strategies and executions for new products/initiatives or similar projects
  • Creativity: Strong creative skills with the ability to develop innovative content ideas and strategies
  • Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Detail-Oriented: Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy and quality in all content produced
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft clear and persuasive messaging
  • Problem-Solving: Proactive approach to identifying challenges and finding effective solutions
