Contract Manager

Summary

Join Datavant's remote-friendly team as a Vendor Operations Contract Manager, overseeing the entire vendor contracting process. You will develop and manage contracts, collaborate with stakeholders, and serve as the primary liaison between Datavant and vendors. Requirements

• A Bachelor's Degree in a related field of study from an accredited university is required; however, relevant experience in lieu of a degree may be considered
• Typically, a minimum of 5 years related professional experience
• Experience working in the healthcare insurance / risk adjustment industry or healthcare/health IT industry and knowledge of healthcare industry standards and regulations
• Strong decisive insight, organization, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to prioritize, multi-task and adapt to a fast-paced team-oriented environment
• Ability to manage multiple contracts and projects simultaneously with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Sound judgment in decision making ability
• Flexibility with working hours, which may include hours outside of normal scheduled work hours and travel up to 15%

Responsibilities

• Develop, draft, and manage contracts in alignment with organizational standards and goals
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure the contract terms meet organizational and departmental needs
• Serve as the primary liaison between the organization, vendors, and cross-functional stakeholders (ie: legal and finance) throughout the contracting process, ensuring all required signatures and approvals are obtained for finalizing contracts
• Partner with the procurement team to align contracts, ensuring legal and regulatory compliance
• Coordinate the setup and onboarding of new vendors
• Identify and implement opportunities to streamline the contract lifecycle process
• Drive vendor adoption of API integration and going digital, ensuring seamless communication and operational efficiency
• Facilitate rate negotiations as needed with vendors to secure cost-effective terms while ensuring alignment with organizational needs and policies
