Corporate Counsel

Summary

Join our team as a Senior Counsel to draft, review, and negotiate various agreements, provide legal support, and assist with intellectual property management. You will work independently and collaboratively with a diverse team of professionals.

Requirements

• J.D. from an accredited university
• License to practice law in the U.S., and preferably in California
• At least 8-10 years of experience as in-house counsel, with at least 3-5 years as in-house counsel in the healthcare or life sciences industry

Responsibilities

• Draft, negotiate, and review a wide range of contracts and agreements with internal business partners from a variety of business units
• Work closely with other departments such as Clinical, Operations, IT, Marketing, Market Access, and Medical Affairs to address legal issues and support company objectives
• Assist with Intellectual Property, including portfolio management, regulatory exclusivity, competitive intelligence and strategy, CURES compliance, and licensing
• Perform legal research, including interpretation of laws and regulations as relevant to the business
• Assist with SEC filings as required

Preferred Qualifications

• Patent background preferred, but not required
• Science degree/background preferred, but not required
