Summary

Join AffiniPay's Corporate Development & Corporate Strategy team as a Manager and lead operational due diligence for potential acquisitions, conduct market research, prepare deal materials, coordinate due diligence teams, support deal negotiations, manage data rooms, and support post-merger integration planning. You will also support AffiniPay's annual strategic planning, conduct market analysis, lead strategic initiatives, partner with product and GTM teams, develop business cases, and support executive offsites and board materials. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, support executive leadership, communicate deal progress, and build relationships with external advisors. This role requires a Bachelor's degree, 2-4 years of experience in investment banking, management consulting, private equity, or corporate development, strong financial modeling skills, due diligence experience, and excellent communication and problem-solving abilities. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field
  • 2-4 years of experience in investment banking, management consulting, private equity, or corporate development
  • Strong financial modeling and valuation skills with proficiency in Excel
  • Experience conducting due diligence and managing deal processes
  • Demonstrated ability to structure and solve ambiguous business problems
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with ability to distill complex analyses
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-starter mentality with ability to work independently and drive projects forward
  • Experience with financial analysis tools and data rooms (e.g., Datasite, Box)

Responsibilities

  • Lead operational due diligence workstreams for potential acquisitions, including analysis of target company financials, business models, and operational metrics; collaborate on financial, legal, and other diligence work streams
  • Conduct comprehensive market research and competitive analysis to evaluate strategic fit of potential targets
  • Prepare materials, including deal rationale, valuation analysis, and risk assessments
  • Coordinate cross-functional due diligence teams including legal, tax, technology, product, and HR
  • Support deal negotiations by providing analytical insights and maintaining deal documentation
  • Manage data rooms, information requests, and diligence trackers throughout the transaction process
  • Support post-merger integration planning by developing synergy models and integration roadmaps
  • Track and report on integration milestones and synergy realization
  • Support development of AffiniPay's annual strategic planning process and long-term growth roadmap
  • Conduct market analysis and competitive intelligence to inform strategic decisions
  • Assit in in leading strategic initiative deep-dives on new market opportunities, pricing strategy, or product expansion
  • Partner with Product and GTM teams on build vs. buy vs. partner analyses
  • Develop business cases for strategic investments and new initiatives
  • Help support executive offsites and board materials with strategic analyses and recommendations
  • Help translate strategic priorities into actionable initiatives with clear success metrics
  • Help conduct quarterly strategy reviews and track progress against strategic objectives
  • Work closely with Finance, Product, Engineering, and GTM teams to evaluate strategic opportunities
  • Support executive leadership with ad-hoc strategic analyses and special projects
  • Communicate deal progress and strategic insights to stakeholders through clear, executive-ready presentations
  • Build relationships with external advisors, investment banks, and industry contacts
