Join DoiT as our Country Manager in Japan, a remote role reporting to the VP of Sales for EMEA & APAC. You will be responsible for the overall sales success in Japan, developing and implementing a business growth plan to achieve revenue and margin targets. This leadership role requires fostering key client and vendor relationships, leading and motivating the sales team, and driving new business while managing existing accounts. The ideal candidate possesses deep understanding of the Japanese tech ecosystem, a proven track record in building partnerships, and the ability to lead a growing team. You will collaborate with global and regional stakeholders to align go-to-market strategies and establish DoiT as a trusted cloud innovation partner. Requirements
- Degree in business management, marketing, economics, or an associated degree
- 15+ years of experience in business development, direct sales, channel & account management
- Proven experience selling to local technology companies and startups
- Deep understanding and networking in the cloud ecosystem
- Successful track record hiring and leading a winning sales team
- Ability and willingness to travel
Responsibilities
- Develop a strategic business plan and set clear revenue and pipeline goals for the region
- Deliver against assigned business targets
- Be responsible for growing, developing and coaching the Japan sales team
- Ensure the team forecasts accurately and reports to senior management on a weekly basis
- Through the sales team, effectively manage relationships with key current customers to effectively identify opportunities for growth and ensure retention is sustained at the highest level
- Help support the differentiation in the marketplace against DoiTโs competitors
- Ensure the development and implementation of an effective marketing plan in coordination with the marketing team to support the growth of the DoiT brand and support business development activity in Japan
- Work closely with the business development team to ensure a productive collaboration, supporting campaigns, messaging and target segments
- Actively research, track and report on key market trends and competitors with the aim of identifying new market development opportunities in Japan
- Maintain and develop executive relationships with strategic cloud vendors
- Introduce ways to increase productivity and skills of the sales team
- Develop and maintain an annual hiring plan
- Work with business operations team to identify scaling challenges and resolve those issues proactively
- Be an effective member of the management team, coordinate with other departments, ensuring the delivery of an exceptional level of customer service
- Set the companyโs values and culture and reward and promote those in the team that lead by example
- Be responsible for large deal reviews and discount approvals
