Summary

Join insightsoftware's global direct sales team as a skilled Customer Account Manager, focusing on managing and growing customer accounts for BI and Data connectivity products across EMEA and APAC. This role reports to the Senior Divisional Vice President and requires expert knowledge of Business Intelligence solutions and proven experience in new logo acquisition before transitioning to account management. You will retain and grow your customer base, build strong relationships with corporate leaders, and develop and execute sales plans to exceed sales goals. Responsibilities include prospecting, qualifying, managing, and closing sales opportunities, managing sales pipelines, and providing regular reporting. Success requires excellent communication, consultative selling, and a disciplined approach to daily planning and goal setting.

Requirements

  • Experience selling the following software into the enterprise space: embedded analytics, Business Intelligence and reporting tools
  • A strong background generating new logos in hunting roles, before moving into Account Management
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • A disciplined approach to daily activity planning, setting goals, and achieving results
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including cold calls, proposal preparation, and presentation skills
  • Must have energy, drive, commitment, and passion
  • Can, by nature, work simultaneous parallel activities through the day
  • Bachelor's degree and/or relevant work experience

Responsibilities

  • Retain and grow your customer base that spreads from EMEA to APAC
  • Create strategic, long-term relationships with corporate leaders across your territory
  • Nurture and expand the company's relationship with customer accounts in your defined territory
  • Develop and execute sales plans and exceed sales goals through prospecting, qualifying, managing, and closing sales opportunities
  • Develop and manage sales pipeline to consistently meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue quotas
  • Conduct heavy prospecting of customers (phone, email, marketing campaigns, referrals, etc.) and coordinate with marketing department to qualify and identify leads
  • Coordinate resources throughout the sales cycle including product support and sales engineering
  • Meet with and present value propositions to key clients and senior-level executives to negotiate and close deals
  • Manage and track customer information and provide regular reporting of pipeline and forecasts in Salesforce: The Customer Company
  • Remain highly knowledgeable of company products and target industries to facilitate sales efforts
  • Practice effective, excellent communication with management, customers, and support staff
  • Participate in team building and company-growth activities including strategy setting, sales training, marketing efforts, and customer care
  • Develop and execute sales plans and exceed sales goals through prospecting, qualifying, managing, and closing sales opportunities
  • Develop and manage sales pipeline to consistently meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue quotas
  • Use a consultative approach to diagnose our customer's needs
  • Remain highly knowledgeable of company products and target industries to facilitate sales efforts
  • Practice effective, excellent communication with management, customers, and support staff
  • WIN – close deals and acquire new customers
