Customer Solutions Engineer

Summary

Join Vonage as a Full Stack Developer Solutions Engineer and contribute to the innovation of cloud communications for businesses worldwide. You will assist customers with their communication API implementation projects by providing code reviews, workshops, sample apps, and demos. As a trusted advisor, you will participate in customer meetings to offer technical guidance and validate their implementation. You will also work with the Product team to test Early Access Products and provide feedback to shape the customer experience. This role offers opportunities for innovation and invention, with the potential to file patents and receive recognition through the Vonage Patent Award program.

Requirements

• Empathy
• BSc or MSc degree in Computer Science, or equivalent in-depth practical experience
• Ability to collaborate with team members who are distributed across the globe
• 3+ years professional development experience as a full stack developer
• Experience in writing technical documentation or tutorials for a developer audience
• Knowledge of Git and GitHub (or similar collaborative platforms)
• Be solution-driven and always find your way around problems
• Ability to communicate best practices and solutions recommendations in-person, video conference, or email
• Solid understanding of Javascript, CSS, and related libs
• Experience building applications in Node.js
• One or more OO languages: Python, PHP, or Ruby
• Experience working with RESTful APIs
• Relational databases / SQL

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain demos, quick start samples, example apps
• Participate in customer code reviews to help diagnose issues with the implementation of our Video or Voice SDKs
• Build and document reference applications based on in-demand use cases so our customers can use them as a starting point
• Write blog posts and tutorials based on demos or reference applications that you’ve produced
• Work closely with Sales Account Managers, Solutions Architects, and Customer Success Managers to get from opportunity to revenue as quickly as possible
