Data Analyst I

Summary

Requirements

• 1-3 years of experience in a data analytics or a business intelligence role
• Strong comfort and proficiency in SQL and Python or R to solve business problems
• Experience with version control, Github preferred
• Strong analytical aptitude and an understanding of statistical methods
• Desire to improve and expand analytical and data visualization skills with new technology and methodologies
• Outstanding stakeholder orientation and a strong desire to be of service

Responsibilities

• Work directly with stakeholders to understand their data needs and provide visibility into relevant metrics
• Help define and measure metrics and KPIs, build dashboards and carry out deep-dive analyses that enable stakeholders to make data informed business decisions
• Regularly present insights and discoveries verbally, visually, and in writing
• Suggest and surface improvements to data models
• Troubleshoot issues in dashboards, reports, and other data deliverables
• Gather data requirements supporting new data product requests
• Collaborate with colleagues through code reviews and technical design
• Add to existing pipelines or create new ones from scratch
• Serve as a resource and thought partner to colleagues
• Build and maintain subject matter expertise in ActBlue’s operations and generate recommendations on how to further grow ActBlue’s analytical capabilities
• Act as a deeply empathetic and knowledgeable partner to our stakeholders, committed to their mission success
• Be a ready and active participant in the data request triaging and office hours
• May support supplementary projects as assigned, ensuring timely and efficient completion in line with organizational objectives and standards

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with dbt
• Experience working on an Agile team
