Join Pepperstone's technology team as a Data Analyst β Transaction Reporting and become the backbone of regulatory transaction reporting, driving accuracy, compliance, and innovation. You will execute, reconcile, and validate daily regulatory transaction reports, identify and resolve reporting issues, collaborate with various teams, maintain documentation, and identify automation opportunities. This role requires 3+ years of experience in data analysis within financial services, strong SQL and Excel skills, and experience working cross-functionally. The ideal candidate will possess strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and knowledge of transaction reporting obligations. Requirements
- 3+ years experience in a data analysis, operations or reporting function within financial services, ideally in a regulated environment
- Skilled in SQL (data validation, querying), Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, vlookup, data formatting), and able to work with Python scripts or basic automation tools
- Demonstrates strong problem-solving abilities, with a detail-oriented and structured mindset
- Experience working cross-functionally with compliance, product, engineering, or risk teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate technical issues for non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to work under time pressure and manage competing deadlines across jurisdictions
Responsibilities
- Execute, reconcile, and validate daily regulatory transaction reports (EMIR, MiFID, ASIC, MAS)
- Identify and resolve reporting issues, rejections, or discrepancies through proactive investigation
- Collaborate with Compliance, Engineering, and Operations teams to align on data flows and reporting requirements
- Maintain and update documentation, SOPs, and reporting workflows in line with internal standards and regulatory changes
- Identify opportunities for automation and efficiency improvements across transaction reporting processes
- Liaise with third-party vendors and external regulatory bodies where appropriate
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of transaction reporting obligations such as EMIR, MiFID, ASIC or MAS is a strong advantage
