Join Data Society Group as a Data Governance Analyst to ensure the quality, integrity, and security of an organization's data by defining and implementing data policies, standards, and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive data governance framework, including policies, standards, procedures, and guidelines
- Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to ensure buy-in and adoption of the framework
- Define and implement data quality metrics, standards, and processes
- Identify and address data quality issues, working with data owners to remediate problems
- Conduct regular data quality assessments and audits
- Develop and maintain a metadata repository, documenting data definitions, lineage, and relationships
- Ensure that metadata is accurate, complete, and up-to-date
- Use metadata to improve data discovery, understanding, and use
- Investigate and resolve data-related issues and incidents
- Facilitate communication and collaboration between data stakeholders to resolve conflicts and issues
- Track and report on data issues and resolutions
- Develop and deliver training on data governance policies, standards, and procedures
- Communicate data governance initiatives and progress to stakeholders
- Promote a data-driven culture within the organization
