Join Komodo Health's Analytics and Insights team and contribute to our mission of reducing the global burden of disease. You will build analytics pipelines, extract key insights from Komodo data, and partner with stakeholders to understand business needs and drive customer retention. This role involves collaborating with internal teams to enhance and scale our products and analytics offerings. Over the first year, you will deliver high-value data analytics projects, effectively partner with internal and external teams, and develop a thorough understanding of the Komodo Healthcare Map. You will also identify and implement ways to scale solutions and present analytical results to stakeholders. This position offers a hybrid work model with remote options and a competitive compensation package.
Requirements
- Analytical mindset: Solve complex business problems with analytics
- Client service-orientation: Understand client needs and how to develop solutions to address them
- Strong communication skills: Be comfortable presenting to stakeholders at all levels (technical and non-technical) and distilling complex topics and analyses into easy-to-follow and compelling narratives
- Healthcare or other related experience: Be familiar with life sciences needs, such as patient journey analytics, HCP engagement and segmentation, and market landscape assessments
- Data-driven mindset: Be able to dig into the data both within Komodoβs Healthcare Map and across external data sources that we receive from partners and customers to synthesize insights
- Problem-solving skills: Demonstrate strong logical thinking and an ability to see patterns
- Partnership mentality: Effectively collaborate with data science, account managers, sales, product, and clients to guide analyses, synthesize results, and share feedback
- Curiosity: Demonstrate an interest and aptitude for constant learning and regularly seek and welcome feedback and help from colleagues
- Flexible attitude: Adapt to changing environments and solve problems from new angles; know how to manage ambiguity
- Proficiency in quantitative reasoning: Understand the basics of data science and classical statistics and can use that knowledge to scope out a client solution
- Consultative mindset: Identify and proactively offer recommendations based on observed insights
- At least three years of industry experience working with large-scale databases and leveraging Python and SQL (notably Snowflake for data querying, cleaning, and transformation)
- Advanced Excel skills
- Experience translating analytic insights into PowerPoint or dashboards
- Prior life sciences or other healthcare experience analyzing claims data to inform business decisions
Responsibilities
- Build analytics pipelines and tables
- Draw key insights from Komodo data and products
- Partner with internal and external stakeholders to understand business needs, with a goal to drive customer retention
- Collaborate with internal teams to identify ways to enhance and scale our products and analytics offerings
- Deliver high-value data analytics projects
- Effectively partner with internal and external teams to translate client requirements into analytics to solve client needs, leveraging Komodo data and products
- Acquire a thorough understanding of the Komodo Healthcare Map and how to apply it to answer critical healthcare questions
- Develop an understanding of patient-level data and proficiency in our key offering areas, including patient journey, line of therapy, HCP segmentation, and market landscape assessments
- Identify and implement ways to scale our solutions, automate code, and centralize complex logic for repeatability. Advocate for effective and consistent data science practices within the team
- Present analytical results and insights to internal and external partners, including technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Identify new features and areas of development for Komodo products
- Contribute to the growth and development of the team through the onboarding and training of new members
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with PySpark and R
- Proficient with complex topics in ML modeling and software packages, advanced statistics/biostatistics, algorithm design
