Requirements

  • Prior experience working in a dental office (minimum 1 year)
  • Proficient in Dentrix practice management software
  • Excellent communication skills (spoken and written English)

  • Comfortable using VoIP systems (experience with Mango, RingCentral, or similar is a plus)
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and stay organized
  • Experience participating in team huddles and treatment plan coordination
  • Experience with dental billing, claims follow-up, and patient statements
  • Familiarity with US dental office workflows and HIPAA compliance

Responsibilities

  • Insurance Verification: Contact insurance providers via phone to verify patient coverage and benefits
  • Appointment Scheduling: Manage scheduling of patient appointments using Dentrix
  • Inbound/Outbound Calls: Answer phone calls, route messages, and assist patients with inquiries
  • Email Communication: Respond to patient emails and follow up on scheduling or documentation needs
  • Daily Coordination: Participate in virtual morning huddles, assist in managing the daily patient schedule, and review treatment plans or special patient notes
  • Team Integration: Function as an integral member of the in-office team despite being remote
  • Occasional Billing Assistance: Though a billing company currently handles billing, prior experience in dental billing is considered a plus and may be needed in the future
