Remote Deployment Engineer

Summary

The job is a remote, intermediate-level position in checkout technology for deploying and installing Mashgin's technology and handling customer support. The role involves traveling, troubleshooting issues, responding to customer escalations, maintaining technical knowledge, installing kiosks, and fielding customer service requests.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent experience)
• Ability and desire to travel frequently
• Self-starter who is comfortable getting the job done without much assistance
• Relentlessly resourceful, always thinking outside the box to solve complex problems
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to lift 50 pounds or more

Responsibilities

• Deploying and installing Mashgin's technology across the country
• Handling customer support tickets and calls
• Ensuring projects are completed on time and that customers are successful with Mashgin
• Traveling the country to launch new locations and help customers (50-75% travel is expected)
• Diagnosing and troubleshooting issues remotely and in the field
• Responding to customer escalations and inquiries, when needed seeking partners to assist

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior IT or tech repair experience
• Strong technical ability: you should be comfortable doing things like installing drivers, diagnosing system issues, and building PCs using off-the-shelf components
